CJIC Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation for Ghana Coastal Highway Project with Ministry of Roads and Highways

On June 2, during the 8th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum, the CJIC signed a memorandum of cooperation for Ghana coastal highway project with Ministry of Roads and Highways.  The ceremony is also attended by President of China International Contractors Association Fang Qiuchen, President of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) Jackson Chang, Officials of Ghana Roads and Highways, the CJIC’s Vice President Li Zonggen, Vice chairman of the Trade Union and the leader of the corporate office in Ghana. Minister of Ghana Roads and Highways Kwasi-Amoako-Attah and Assistant to the corporate president Li Biya signed the memorandum of cooperation on behalf of each side.
It is learned that the highway starts at the largest port city of Ghana Tema, and ends at the small border town named Aflao with the length of 160 kilometers. It is designed as a two-way road with two lanes on each side. The contract value is up to 0.4 billion. It is the most important part of the coastal highway of Western Africa. It makes easy the transport of people and goods in Ghana, Togo and even the whole western Africa.
